Gliding into Starbucks this morning, bright-eyed and ready for the day, knee-length coat cinched around the waist, hair up off my neck with the long bangs hanging over black-rimmed glasses, neat black slacks and pumps, deep purple wrap top peeking out from under the coat, fun yet elegant messenger bag packed with gear for the day following along, happily accepting the door held open. My assistant manager laughs as she informs me I look like I stepped right out of The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

Such is today.
