Back home from the land of Ben Franklin, the Declaration of Independance, the COnstitution, and Cheese Steaks. All of which are quite good and happy things. I could have stayed there much longer. Moved into a row house on Elferth's Alley... Taken up a job as a character actor. Maybe gotten a bit more into the history of my own country instead of just the history of other people's countries...
Oh well. All good things must come to an end. Good things gotten out of this trip:
-wonderful memories with my sisters
-knowledge of how to navigate the streets of yet another city
-my first taste of venison (and man is it good!)
-a renewed appreciation for the country I have been born and raised in
-more respect for what the founders of this nation went through
-more knowledge about life in the colonial times
-an all too brief meeting with a horse named Merlin... I want a horse...

hello, my girl. do you think they have horses in heaven?
Of course they do! What kind of a silly question is that? It wouldn't be heaven without horses. And they are all gorgeous and perfect and spirited, yet wonderfully sweet...
Tell me about Merlin! I'm intrigued...
basically, he was one of the horses around Independance Square, giving carriage tours of the area. I petted his nose, Kris took a pic of me and him... He was sweet and gorgeous and black and big. After the driver told me his name I remembered that Kris and I gave each member of our family a Sword and the Stone character, and I am Merlin. Just fun coincidence. (Kris is Archemides, my Highly Educated Owl)
