Last thought of the night...

This morning I spent an hour reading in the cemetary... way at the end of the Memorial Gardens... It was nice and peaceful. At around 10:20 an elderly lady came back there. I quietly watched her from little glances over the pages of my book. She placed her hand on the shiny, black marble square with a man's name (her husband?) for a good 30-45 seconds, then stood up straight again and bowed her head, as if in prayer for a few minutes. When she was doneshe glanced at some of the other names on squares in that area, smiled at me, and left. I believe the date onteh square was March 9, but I'm not sure. As I was washing my face tonight I wondered if she came by on the 9th of every month to visit him. I think I may have to check this out...

I need to watch Harold and Maude again...
