Fully enjoying the weather.

As much as I absolutely love cities and can't wait to live in Chicago, not just "chicagoland," there is something to be said about the small, quaint town. I wandered down to the post office to mail a letter and just enjoy the warm sun. Just wandering past the different houses, the children drawing with sidewalk chalk, my viola teacher on a walk with her little twin girls, one walking and waving to the men cutting the lawn at the church, the other enjoying her seat in the wagon, the 7 year-old girl who shimmied up the pole of the basketball hoop and was hanging there making monkey sounds, the quiet, relaxed feel of it all.

Returned to my blanket on the deck, the steady, relaxing stream of cars, the college students out on study breaks or off to find places outside to study, the bright blue of the sky against the almost yellow-green of the new leaves on the tree just to the east of my deck, the blend of my music and the ATO's music all create a wonderfully relaxing Saturday of reading short stories.

Eventually I'll have to make my way inside to eat dinner and shower... but not quite yet.
